Playing It Safe With Inflatables & Moonwalks

Whether it’s for a birthday party of just a day of fun, indoor playrooms filled with inflatables are jumping up all over.

Years ago, these ginormous jumping houses were only enjoyed at carnivals as a once-in-a-while wonder. But now, you don’t have to wait for a special occasion to have fun with them. While they’re a great place for parties and give the illusion of supervised play, parents still need to look before their children leap with these safety precautions:

  • Everyone should wear a pair of socks when jumping (even in the summer when most kids will have on sandals.) Be sure to take a pair with you, just like when you go bowling.
  • Make sure the facility has adequate staff and that there is someone actually watching the children and not just behind the counter.
  • Pay attention to how the inflatables are connected and taken care of, watching for excessive wear and tear and loose connections.
  • Watch the front door. Be sure there is a way to prevent kids from wandering out or strangers from coming in.

  • Taking these extra steps can help make sure that your child plays it safe. They are a fun way to spend an afternoon, just like these baby toys. And the best part is that there’s no hot air required. Your child can rock the day away or enjoy vintage games like a wooden pull toy. Children of all ages can enjoy these, and they make great baby gifts too–especially for a child who’s too small for the big jumpers. And if you’re wondering what to give big brother or sister, they also make excellent sibling gifts, too!

After Prom Party and School Carnival Event Ideas

Spring is upon us, which means that just around the corner the school season will be winding up. For many students it means a time for fun and laughter. But for many high school juniors and seniors, their minds are focus on prom night.

Prom night is a major highlight of many students high school career. On this night, everything is planned to be perfect and run smoothly. This can also be a stressful time for the teachers and parents who attend prom. Staying on top of things and making sure that nothing gets “out of hand” can be somewhat overwhelming. Especially when it come to the prom after parties.

Many schools will arrange for games and activities to be held on campus to prevent the students from getting into trouble. Sadly, many students will never attend these functions, due to childish games or lack off interest. The key to remember is to try and find something that will keep the students attention and provide great entertainment. A question to ask yourself is, “Will the students be able to enjoy this time and time again?” Having games and activities that are fun, but only last for a short period of time will only lead the student to boredom. It is important to keep the students active and entertained.

When I was a freshman in college, my university held a block party for all arriving freshman. The university had blocked off two major intersections and parking lots so we could as walk about and interact. To keep up occupied and a part of the festivities, the university had rented an inflatable moonwalk, and an inflatable obstacle course. Students were lining up to try out these games and would still get back in line after they were done.

Inflated games have been hits for all types of school or even church events. They can provide safe and clean fun for students or adults. Most rental companies that offer inflatable games can usually be found on the Internet or in the yellow pages. But before you to decide on a company to rent from, hear are three things to think off.

    1. What is the condition of the equipment?

    2. Where is the company you are renting from located and is there a traveling fee?

    3. Is there enough space to accommodate these inflated games at location of the party?

    4. Ask the company for an approximate number of guests a game can allow per hour.

    5. Does the company provide skilled equipment supervisors?

The idea behind these games is to bring laughter and enjoyment to everyone around. Keeping these five simple questions in mind, you will be able to decide if the company you are going to rent from is truly going to provide you with the best in inflatable entertainment possible.

    How to Buy Safe Toys

Hospitals treat thousands of kids a year for toy related injuries, especially during the holiday season. Even with tough government regulations on toys, dangerous toys and games are still on store shelves. So it remains the buyers and parents' responsibly to choose carefully the toys they give children.

    1. Examine a toy for small parts. Even a bear with a charm at the end of it can be potentially dangerous with small children around.

    2. Toys should never have sharp objects. While most toys are manufactured to avoid this, toys are usually made by machines and can easily be miss-manufactured.

    3. Rattles and teething toys should be too big to fit in a baby's mouth, even when squished either which way.

    4. Be aware of age recommendations of toys. Toys are not just labeled based on appeal but also on safety. A younger household member should also be considered when buying for a older child. Toys or games that have smaller parts should not be around small children, if the older child is not good at putting up toy, such toys might need to be reconsidered. If giving such gift as a gift it may be best to consult the parent first.

    5. Toys with long strings or loops can be dangerous for small children. Check even the most unlikely places, for instance if a doll has a apron on it the apron should be well attached.

    6. Check labels with care. Not all things that appear to be toys are toys. This is a common factor in dolls and collectible cars. Painted toys label should include the word non-toxic. Toys with material labels should include that they are flame retardant and washable.

    7. Used and even new electrical toys carry more risks and should be looked over carefully. Toy should carry a UL seal of approval from the underwriters laboratory. Used electric toys should be carefully inspected to insure not open wires or signs of water damage. Safety features such as the battery case should be inspected to insure they are still in working order.

How to Make the Most of Your Backyard Vacations

More and more people are finding that even when they are able to find the time, there is little room in their budget for a vacation getaway. They are having to opt instead for backyard vacations, also known as "staycations". The good news is that backyard vacations can be just as fun and satisfying as long distance ones. After many money-saving backyard vacations, my wife and I have come up with a few tips that we'd like to share.

First things first. This is your vacation. Keep it interruption-proof. Turn off the ringer on your phone. Keep your computer off. It can be used to research last-minute day trips, but do not check email and, most importantly, resist the temptation to check your work email. Anything that could have waited the week you were away can wait now. While you're at it, keep the TV and video games off; you can do that anytime. Do not allow friends or family members who know that you're not really away, to draw you into their projects. They'll understand when they have backyard vacations of their own.

Research your area. Decide how far you want to drive (if at all), and check out attractions and activities within that radius. Perhaps you'd like to get to know some of the local history, and sites that you've been too busy to explore. Maybe you'd rather drive a little further and see some sites in a different environment. The local papers list activities for adults and children. Write to chambers of commerce in your surrounding cities. Find out about state parks that are not too far away. The internet is also a good resource, but if you're already on vacation, don't get drawn into the depths of the ether!

Choose your adventures. Once you have decided where to spend each day of your backyard vacation, prepare any needed supplies ahead of time. You don't want to waste precious vacation time searching through the garage for that fishing pole or sleeping bag. Allow each member of the family to have a say in what will be done, even if you are literally just staying in your backyard. There are still decisions to be made about activities, meals, etc. Make it a point to have something for everyone.

What about cooking? There are two schools of thought here--"minimal", and, even better, "none". If the purpose of a backyard vacation is to save money, then some cooking may be required. Try to purchase things that require minimal prep time and cooking. This is a vacation for the cook in the family as well. If everyone pitches in, it can be part of the fun, especially in a "camping" situation. Ideally, however, no one should have to work on their vacation. Finding new places to eat is part of the adventure.

Planning ahead. Just as with anything else in life, the results of a backyard vacation can depend upon the amount of planning done to prepare. This includes researching, deciding what your goal is, choosing the path to that goal, and not allowing others to waylay that goal.

I'm happy to report that my family and I no longer have backyard vacations just to save money. If you're considering a change in your work situation so that you can take your family on more long distance vacations and enjoy more time with them at home as well, see my link below. Bon voyage!

How to maintenance the inflatable castles

    1. Inflatable moonwalks be afraid of breaking
When we wear the best clothes, we always are careful to avoid breaking the best material of the clothes. Through the same situation, during the usage of the inflatable castle, it should avoid the branch of the trees, the irony peg on the communication cables, and any sharp or rigid subjects.

    2. be afraid of dragging
Don’t move the inflatable moonwalks frequently. If it is dragged on the floor for a long time, it will have frazzle.

    3. Stay away from fireworks
On the occasion of opening ceremonies, the fireworks are essential. It should stay away from the fireworks about 6 meters, when we use the inflatable moonwalk.

    4. If it is dirty, please use the wet cloth to clean it up!

    5. The item will be prohibited for using. When in the heavy windy, snowy, rainy, fogy and hail weather, in order to avoid the accident.

    6. If it is not used for a long term, please fold the clean equipment ,bundle and pack it away. Generally, it is appropriate for the temperature between -50 ~ +40 Celsius degrees in the storage place. The equipment should avoid the bite from the moth and worms.

How to maintain the water in an inflatable pool?

We purchased an inflatable pool for our family. It is not huge; the “swim” area is 8ft by 4 ft and it holds 289 gallons of water. It does not have a pump. Obviously with that much water I don’t wan’t to change the water often. We have a debris cover and we have a net to catch stray debris. I also purchased some pool shock for these types of pools. Now, even with all our care the water is still murky. How can I maintain the water?

Murky water is caused by burnout of chlorine in the pool water. Hot sunny days will dissipate the chlorine too. Pool water that is stagnant can become full of bacteria. If rain water gets into the pool water, it effects the pH of the water.

A liquid shock product is better than the tabs because there is no pump to circulate the water. Tabs that come in contact with the pool can erode the bottom.

Any pool store can test the pH of the water. Their analysis will state what chemicals are needed.

Have your water tested at a pool place to see what your water is lacking. Pumps help out ALOT as far as vacuuming them out. Ask your pool store. YOu might have to empty it every so often since you don’t have a pump with filter.

Guide on How to Purchase Inflatables From China

Are you agonising on where to purchase best quality inflatables with suitable price? Here I want to share some experience on my purchasing, as I was also a buyer for inflatables 4 years ago. Now I just sell inflatables as I has found a perfect supplier.(General Inflatables - www.inflatablecn.com)

When I search suppliers, what I most care is not price as there are too many suppliers in China can give you very low price. I pay much attention on quality. because I believe cheap never means good quality, especially in China. At my first purchase for inflatable, I buy from the lowest price but I am not satisfied with the quality when I get it. So my friends, don't just pay attention on price from now on.

Secondly, there are really some bad guys in China, some factory will give you low price and promise you to use best material but once you place order, they will not do as they promise, they use bad material, that's a carking problem and it's hard for you to distinguish who is true. Some worse factory will even not send you products at all. So be cautious when someone gives you very tempting price. I say this just because one of my friends has ever suffered it from China 2 years ago.

So it becomes meaningless that you ask a supplier to send you a sample material, as they may send you a piece of best vinyl, but they will use different material when they produce.

Another important thing that I must say here 90% inflatable factory in China doesn't use first class vinyl, especially north China factories,If your inflatables is for rental use, it's important to use first class material as your inflatables will be used everyday and has to support so many kids each day. If the material is not good enough, some days later, a big hole will appear, but at this moment, your supplier can do nothing for you. Do you think a repair kit is enough for you to repair a big hole?

For rental companies, reinforcement is very important and necessary, which can let your inflatables become much stronger, and you can earn more money from each inflatable.

As I said at the beginning, I have 4 years experience on inflatables. Now I am stick to one supplier(General Inflatables), their price is not the lowest, but I am so happy with their quality and service, that's why I would like to work as their distrubitors on alibaba and my country. I run a renal and sales company in my country with their inflatables and now I earn so much from this business.

Hope what I said is a little useful for you. If you are wise enough, you can make big money from China too.
